The RxSight is implanted in the eye when a patient receives cataract surgery. Once the eyes have healed over the span of two or three weeks, the patient's vision is then adjusted by a series of office-based light treatment procedures that only take a few minutes each. During these procedures, the vision is corrected with the Light Delivery Device (LDD) in order to modify the shape of the lens, which alters your vision. The lens can be modified two to four times for optimal results, but not every patient will require the same amount of adjustments.
It is difficult to predict how your eyes will heal before cataract surgery, the RxSIGHT LAL allows for patients to preview and adjust their vision after the surgery until it meets their desired needs. Since the RxSight LAL is the only customizable lens that can be adjusted after surgery, it makes it that much more significant and desirable to patients.
